“Brady Bunch” Mom Florence Henderson Contracted Crabs From Former New York City Mayor John Lindsay

Overshare Alert! Florence Henderson, best remembered to children of the ’70s as TV Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch, has made an itchy revelation about her past: She contracted crabs after a one-night-stand with then-New York City Mayor John Lindsay.
Way to ruin the reruns for us, Flo.
Henderson, 77, details the incident in her upcoming memoir, Life Is Not A Stage.
“I was lonely. I knew it wasn’t the right thing to do. So, what did I do? I did it,” Henderson writes of the romp, which occured in the late ’60s, when the actress was still legally married.
She woke the next morning to “little black things” crawling over her bed and body. So what does a New York City mayor do to apologise for giving you public lice? Lindsay sent her flowers and a note of apology. Classy touch.
“Guess I learned the hard way that crabs do not discriminate but cross over all socioeconomic strata. He must have had quite the active life. What a way to put the kibosh on a relationship,” Henderson concludes.
