Betty White: “Bea Arthur Hated Me!”

In this clip from tonight’s show, the Hot in Cleveland octogenarian speaks candidly about the fact that her late Golden Girls co-star Bea Arthur was never a fan of her larger-than-life personality, even though Betty always looked up to the Maude alum with adoring eyes.
We hear Bea was quite fond of calling Betty a not-so-pleasant word that rhymes with “Dunt.” Oh say it ain’t so, Dorothy!
“Bea had a reserve. She was not that fond of me. She found me a pain in the neck sometimes. It was my positive attitude–and that made Bea mad sometimes. Sometimes if I was happy, she’d be furious!” White confided to fans during a book singing event in New York this week.
Arthur died of cancer in 2009.
