Bruno Mars “It Will Rain” Featured On “Twilight Breaking Dawn” Soundtrack
Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain” will be the first song from the upcoming soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Summit Entertainment said on Thursday.
The “Grenade” singer took to Twitter to chat with fans about the tune: “Remember that song I told yall I finished? Well its called It Will Rain #ComingSoon.” Mars also unveiled the cover artwork for his Breaking Dawn single, which shows his silhouette slouching on a chair and clutching an umbrella, colorful paint cascades in the background. Mars, 25, follows in the footsteps of Muse, Paramore, and Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who have all previously recorded for Twilight soundtracks.
The singer/songwriter — who lead this year’s Grammy nominations after unleashing an arsenal of pop, R&B, reggae, and soul-infused tunes — topped the charts in the US and abroad with the release of his platinum-certified debut solo album, Doo-Wops and Hooligans.
“It Will Rain” impacts iTunes on Sept. 27. The full Breaking Dawn – Part 1 soundtrack will be available on iTunes on Nov. 8, just ahead of the film’s Nov. 18 cinema release.
