Clive Davis remembers Whitney Houston as a “Beautiful Person”

The irony of last night, as Beverly Hills authorities, pronounced Whitney Houston dead, and contacted family and friends….the Clive Davis annual Pre-Grammy party was preparing to start.

Clive, who mentored Whitney for over 30 years, walked into the ballrooom at the Beverly Hilton hotel, with tears in his eyes. “I am personally devastated by the loss of somebody who meant so much to me,” he said. “Whitney was so full of life. She was so looking forward to tonight..she loved music. She loved this night. Let’s celebrate music.” Calling Houston “a beautiful person,” Davis added that “she had a talent beyond compare. She graced this stage with her regal presence so many times.

Davis went onto say that Whitney would have “Wanted the music to go on” and at the encouragement of her family, he did not cancel his party.

So sad…just so sad.
