David Boreanaz: “Cheating Saved My Marriage…”
Bones actor David Boreanaz and his wife Jaime Bergman are still together despite the star’s well-documented infidelity. If you let David tell it, the extramarital affair helped him “bond” with his spouse of a decade.

Boreanaz and Bergman, a former Playboy Playmate, wed in Nov. 2001, just nine months after they met during a Valentine’s Day party at the Playboy Mansion. It all came crashing down in May 2010; that’s when David confessed that he’d been playing “Hide the Cannoli” with New York City nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel for months. The affair came to light only a short time after it was revealed that the recently newlywed Uchitel was one of more than a dozen women romantically-linked to philandering golfer Tiger Woods.
Though Tiger might beg to differ, now, more than year later, Boreanaz says his liaison with Uchitel has had a positive impact on his marriage.

Boreanaz credits his unfaithfulness to a dark internal desire. The actor claims he was emotionally scattered when he hooked up with Uchitel. Nonetheless, he says he’s willing to battle for his love despite difficulties.

“[The affair turned into] a bonding experience, in the long run. In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive. There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you.”
Boreanaz and Bergman have two children together: son Jaden, nine, and daughter Bella, two.
