Demi Lovato Says She Often Clashes in ‘Brutal’ Fights With Miley Cyrus
The ‘Skyscraper’ hitmaker explains that she and Miley often clash with each other because they both are very strong-headed.Demi Lovato opened up in an interview with Seventeen magazine for its February issue that she’s not always in good terms with her best friend, Miley Cyrus. The teen singer said they often had “brutal” fights, but it never took long for them to make peace and become friends again.
She explained, “No matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each others’ lives.” She added, “Miley and I are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it’s brutal and we’re like, ‘We’re never going to be friends again!’ Then two days later, we’re like, ‘I love you and I miss you!”
Unlike her friendship with Miley, Demi never has a fight with her other BFF, Selena Gomez. The former “Sonny with a Chance” star shared, “She’s not a confrontational person at all. Both of them will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we’ve been through so much together.”
In the latest issue of the magazine, Demi additionally sent messages to teenage girls based on the lessons that she got after going through her dark days. The red-haired songstress said, “If you are going through that dark period, go to your family and closest friends. Don’t put yourself in danger.”
“It’s very crucial that you get your feelings out-but don’t ever inflict harm on your own body because your body is so sacred,” Demi went on. “I wish I could tell every young girl with an eating disorder, or who has harmed herself in any way, that she’s worthy of life and that her life has meaning. You can overcome and get through anything.”
