Demi Lovato Settles Suit With Dancer
Troubled teen queen Demi Lovato has reached a financial settlement with the backup dancer she allegedly floored shortly before her emotional breakdown in October.
The Sonny With a Chance starlet, 18, reportedly punched frenemy Alex Welch in the face on board a private jet after suspecting that her former pal had dimed her out about some wild partying Demi had been during while on tour with ex-beau Joe Jonas and his brothers. Welch, who suffered visible bruising, had threatened to haul Lovato into court over the incident, for which she claims she never received an apology. Now it seems, she’s getting something even better: Cold Hard Cash. Alex will receive an undisclosed monetary sum under the settlement, according to report on Thursday.
The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely, Welchs attorney Donald Karpel told TMZ.
Demi remains in a suburban Chicago treatment facility, where she is being treated for emotional and physical issues.”
