Demi Lovato’s Estranged Father Desperate to Get Her Call
© Juan Rico/Fame Pictures Patrick Lovato admits that he’s been trying to reach the former ‘Sonny with a Chance’ star but always failed, adding, ‘I love her so much, and I just want her to call me.’Demi Lovato has been estranged from her father Patrick Lovato since she was 16-year-old, and hasn’t spoken to him since November 2010 when she checked in to the rehab center. Patrick recently admitted that he’s been desperately trying to contact his daughter but he always failed.
Telling Radar Online that he misses her daughter Demi very much, Patrick said, “I love her so much, and I just want her to call me. This is the only way I can talk to her, I try to reach her but it never works.” He added, “It is not like I want anything from her, all I want is her love.”
Patrick once said that the last time he spoke to the former “Sonny with a Chance” starlet was on the second week of her treatment in rehab and they talked about his cancer. “She told me she loved me, she really loves her daddy. She told me she’s getting better,” so he recalled.
Demi’s father is currently living in New Mexico after divorcing from Dianna, and he hopes that Demi could visit him sometime. “All I’ve got here is my dog Daytona but I’ve offered to let Demi come and stay here any time she wants.” He added, “My health isn’t what it used to be and I know my daughter loves her daddy, so please call me Demi.”
Patrick additionally admitted that he’s so proud that his daughter has inspired many people who are dealing with weight, bullying and bipolar disorder. “I’m so proud that she’s doing what she did, I knew the day she was born that she was special to me, but I didn’t know she would be so special to so many people.”
