Donald Trump Threatens to Sue Bill Maher Over Joke
Donald Trump is now threatening to sue Bill Maher over a joke the comedian made last month on The Tonight Show … do you doubt that he’s serious?
Maher joked he would donate $ 5 million to the charity of Trumps choice if he could prove he’s not the “spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”
Maher was mocking Trump’s much-publicized “announcement” that he’d donate $ 5 million to charity if President Obama released his college and passport records.
Through his lawyer, Trump released his birth certificate along with a letter to Maher with instructions on where to distribute the $ 5 million. Well played.
He’s not leaving it at that, though.
He promised me $ 5 million for charity if I provided certain information,” Trump said on Fox News today. “Well, I provided the information, he didnt pay.”
“So today I sue Bill Maher for $ 5 million for charity, the Donald decreed.
Maher had until noon today. Needless to say, he didn’t cut the check. Despite the fact that Bill was obviously kidding, Trump insists that he wasn’t kidding.
“I dont think he was joking,” Trump added. “He said it with venom.”
“That was venom. That wasnt a joke. He was nervous when he said it. It was a pathetic delivery, but he said, ‘I will give’ and I said I will accept.”
“So, lets just see what happens.
What happens is the king of PR stunts milking yet another news cycle’s worth of attention out of this dead story. You almost have to give him credit.
