Ice-T Tweets “Bad Joke” Following Russell Armstrong Suicide

Rapper-turned-actor Ice-T is in the headlines this morning after Tweeting a remark many find insensitive about the suicide of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband Russell Armstrong. Russell, whose divorce from cast member Taylor Armstrong is a huge part of the show’s second season, scheduled to begin in September, was found dead Monday, hanging in a bedroom in the Mulholland Drive home of a friend. No suicide note was found. An autopsy is scheduled to take place today.
Ice-T was one of many celebrities who took to their Twitter accounts to comment. While 99 percent offered condolences, the star of Ice Loves Coco and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Tweeted what you see above.
Russell was married to Taylor for eight years before she filed for divorce last year amid claims that he abused her. Despite these claims, the exes had been in frequent communication and were supposed to have met on Monday afternoon. She was reportedly present when her estranged husband’s body was found. Taylor, who has five-year-old daughter Kennedy with Russell, became increasingly worried and began to text and phone him but she never got a response. The socialite then went with a friend to Russell’s home on Monday evening and watched as the owner looked through Russell’s bedroom window and saw his lifeless body hanging. The father-of-three was pronounced dead at 8.16pm.
The are also reports that Armstrong may have been pushed to suicide due to fears over a tell-all book.The investment banker and venture capitalist was reportedly suffering from crippling financial problems and was millions of dollars in debt. It has now been claimed an impending book revealing intimate details such as his sexual preferences was going to be released.
“Russell was recently informed that a tell-all book was being written and that many of his secrets were going to be made public,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “He had expressed great concern about the book.”
Russell had a teenage son, who turns 14 this week, with ex-wife Barbara Frederickson and an 11-year-old son, Griffin, with former fiancee Milette Fields.
