Regardless, the worst-kept secret in Hollywood is out.
The 31-year-old tweeted a link to a page that said, “It’s true. I am going to be a mummy,” and included this photo:

While Simpson has publicly battled her weight, doctors who’ve seen photos of her growing tummy estimate she’s about six months along, with one saying, “It is definitely a pregnancy and not weight gain. You can tell by the shape of her abdomen, her belly wouldn’t be that rounded if it was just fat.”
The star and her fiancee, NFL player Eric Johnson, have been dating since May of 2010 and announced their engagement last November. They’re currently apartment-shopping in New York — presumably for a place with a nursery.
