Beside Josh’s picture, another fresh photo of the upcoming movie has also been available online. The other image sees Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen sporting her signature look with arrows on her back. Similar with Josh, Jennifer is looking a bit messy with some blood splatters dotting her neck and chin.
Josh and Jennifer are set to play opposite Liam Hemsworth in the movie, which will be released in U.S. theaters on March 23, 2012. While it’s still half a year away from its release date, Lionsgate has locked a release date for its sequel. Tentatively titled “Catching Fire”, the sequel is expected to hit theaters on November 22, 2013.
“Hunger Games” is based on a novel of the same title by Suzanne Collins. It tells the story of Katniss who replaces her little sister in a fight-to-the-death live televised event called “Hunger Games”. Although persevering through hardship is commonplace for Katniss, she must start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love in order to win the games and return home.
