Kim Kardashian’s Friends Call Kris Humphries ‘The Husband from Hell’

The Kardashian spin machine is in full force, with the current Us Weekly cover story quoting unnamed friends and insiders who pretty much call Kris Humphries everything but a white woman.

They claim that after the made-for-TV wedding, Humphries, 26, turned into quite a diva. He reportedly took to late nights at clubs on both coasts, using his wife’s fame for free booze and other perks.

Oh, and he was (allegedly) mean, too.

The magazine says:

He could be downright cruel to Kardashian, 31. “He belittled her in front of people,” one insider tells Us. “He’d call her stupid. It was truly sickening.”

The source adds that Humphries resented his wife’s fame and fortune. “He tried to control Kim by bringing her down…He would say truly terrible things. One time, he said she had no talent and her fame wouldn’t last.”

He even took exception to her world-famous posterior, calling her “fat ass,” the source says.

And when poor little Kim — who doesn’t drink much and favors early nights and always makes a point of keeping orphans in her prayers — asked him to knock it off, the source said, “He would tell her she was acting like too much of a wife and ‘get over it.’”

Could all this be true? Yeah, okay. Whatever. But it seems like odd behavior for a guy who’s never been a tabloid magnet for partying or cruelty to women before this. Normally that type of man shows his true colors long before he’s 26.

If anything, the stories sound planted by a family who’s seen its public stock take a nosedive since the sham marriage was outed and who are now desperately trying to paint Kim as a victim who unwittingly married a Jekyll and Hyde.

This is why I could never work in PR. I’d have told them all to STFU and let this whole thing pass — but to the Kardashians, I’m guessing that would be like asking them to breathe water.
