Kim Kardashian “Blindsided” by Kanye’s Baby Annoucement — But Feels “So Blessed” Nonetheless
If you’ve been keeping up with your celebrity goss, you’ve already heard confirmation of the hot scoop we first brought you last Friday: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are expecting a baby in 2013.
We first heard dish that Kim was pregnant when MediaTakeOut snitches reported that the buxom socialite, 32, had been treated for acute morning sickness at her Calabasas home earlier this month. But goss gawkers weren’t the only ones sporting widened eyes and dropped jaws as the proud papa made the baby announcement during a live show in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday night.
Kim was pretty surprised by the gesture herself.
Wests on stage announcement during a performance at Revel Resort was a total shock — to Kim Kardashian, insiders tell TMZ. During the show, Kanye – who has been dating Kim since April 2011 – told the audience to “stop the music and make noise for my baby mama.” Informants say the reality star had “no idea” Kanye was going to spill the beans about her presently occupied uterus.
“Were told she and Kanye had not discussed announcing it — and, in fact, had planned to say nothing until she started showing…Kim didnt seem to mind the surprise were told she was crying tears of joy when Kanye revealed theyre expecting, and was especially moved because he did it during one of her fave songs…’Lost in the World.’”
Kim, who is reportedly around 12 weeks pregnant, sounded jubilant about becoming a mom in a posting to her Official Blog, titled “New Year, New Beginnings.”
“Its true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo”
