Kourtney Kardashian Thinking of Permanent New York Move
In a recent interview, the socialite beauty has revealed that she is toying with the idea of moving to the Big Apple, saying ‘We keep going back and forth’.Kourtney Kardashian is considering to move permanently to New York. The socialite beauty has opened up about the idea of staying in the city when she was speaking in a recent interview for CLIQ Magazine’s Spring 2011 issue.
“We keep going back and forth,” the 31-year-old reality show personality said. “Scott [Disick] has had a place in New York since he was born, so we go there a lot. Now that we have a store in New York, we have a reason to go back. I’d love to be bi-coastal.”
She also admitted she liked New York. Asked on living in the Big Apple, she detailed that the city is “easier because you don’t have to take a car and can hop out and take the subway.” However, she added going around the city would be difficult, saying “…if I want to go somewhere far and want to take Mason, it’s just hard with a car seat in a taxi.”
As the topic jumped to her Dash boutique in NYC’s Soho neighborhood, she explained it is a challenge to have a store in the city. The socialite, whose sister is Kim Kardashian, said, “In New York it was so hard to find the location; rents are so high. There was definitely more pressure to have great merchandise. There’s just a different consumer.”
“Miami is flip flops and jean shorts. In New York, it’s all about fashion. Our store was three times the size, so we had to order more merchandise,” she went on. “In New York, after the second day we had to order another cash register and it was harder to find employees. I thought Kim wouldn’t have been as helpful in New York, but she was.”
