Lauren Bush Becomes Lauren Bush-Lauren
When we heard that model (and niece of former President George W. Bush) Lauren Bush was engaged to marry David Lauren, the son of designer Ralph Lauren, couldn’t help but wonder:
“Does that mean her new name is going to be Lauren Lauren?”
(Trivial, we know…)
It would appear the answer is no.
PEOPLE Magazine reports that Lauren will go by the married name of Lauren Bush-Lauren.
The society couple married at Ralph Lauren’s 17,000-acre ranch in Colorado over the weekend. The dress code for the event was reportedly “black tie with a Western twist.” George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush were among the guests. Bush, the 27-year-old daughter of Ned Bush (George W. Bushs brother) and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, met her husband, 39, in 2004.
It was very romantic and really the perfect placeright near the spot where we first actually shook hands, Bush told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year of Davids proposal at New Yorks Metropolitan Museum of Art last December. Out of all the people I couldve met and fallen in love with. Its just ironic that David would end up with someone named Lauren.”
The youngest son of the Lauren Fashion Dynasty spoke highly of his bride in that same interview.
She is a passionate soul with a truly compassionate heart, and everyone who meets her is moved by her goodness, David gushed.
